Man, it has been awhile since I have listened to Satyricon's "Nemesis Divina." Lately when the Satyricon bug bites me I tend to head for the first two albums, but today I dusted off "Nemesis" and was reminded how fucking brilliant this album is. Classic Norwegian black metal. I eagery await the expected new album this year.

ZETRO RETURNS!!!
The latest incarnation of Exodus is pretty cool, but for my money the best Exodus albums have either Paul Baloff or Steve "Zetro" Souza on vocals. Zetro returns in January with his new band Hatriot, which by the way triples the Souza fun, as Steve's sons handle the bass and drums for the band. Check out the track "Blood Stained Wings" it is fucking incredible!

Voivod returns!!!
I have to admit, though, that I am undecided on what I think about their return. I am a little shocked and saddened that they decided to continue without Piggy, the man whose unique music made Voivod so great. I felt like they should have pulled a Zeppelin and called it a day. On the other hand, I am happy to have new Voivod music. And this Dan Mongrain does a hell of a job of channelling the Piggy sound. "Mechanical Mind" has a sound very reminiscent of late 80s Voivod. So while I protest a wee bit, I am also pretty happy about this forthcoming album. Looks like the whole album will be out in January. Enjoy!

What is your favorite Sepultura album? Mine is hands-down "Chaos A.D." One of the best metal albums of the 90s.
